Today Supervisor Hoffman voted in favor of a budget amendment that would provide a $150,000 grant for the Holmen Community Center. Hoffman stated, "We need to support our communities and provide places like this where our seniors and our students can gather as a community."

At the La Crosse County annual meeting, a resolution was introduced to increase County Board pay 1.5% in 2016, and another 1.5% in 2017.
District 19 Supervisor Hubert Hoffman introduced an amendment to keep board member pay the same as the current term. The amendment passed 21-6. Supervisor Hoffman would like to thank all those who attended the public hearing and participated in the budget process. This Monday, November 9, 2015, at 6:00pm, in the La Crosse County administrative Center, the La Crosse County Board will hold a public hearing on the 2016 budget. Among other items in the budget is an increase in pay for County Board Supervisors. This year (2015), the La Crosse County Board, over the objection of only Hubert Hoffman, voted to add an additional $51 Million to the La Crosse County debt bringing to total amount of debt the taxpayers are on the hook for to $110 Million.
