Today, Supervisors Richmond and Hoffman moved to have the La Crosse County Ordinance requiring a $20 per vehicle yearly registration fee sent back to the committee. Hoffman stated, "This concept has been brought up before and was overwhelmingly rejected by La Crosse County residents." In addition, Hoffman urged the residents to stay vigilant as this is bound to come back before the board.
Supervisor Hoffman also worked with supervisors Burke, Doyle, Kruse, and Berg to secure a $40,000 grant from La Crosse County to aid in the reconstruct and rehabilitation of the Fred Funk boat landing in the Town of Onalaska, which gives access to Lake Onalaska. Funding for the grant came from the environmental impact fees payed to La Crosse County as the result of the CapX2020 transmission line and resulted in no increase in taxes for La Crosse county residents.
